Sunday Brunch
Here at Limon y Sal, in Downtown Ventura, our theory on “Sunday Brunch,” is: You should never skip breakfast—unless of course it’s for Brunch, then you should definitely skip it. Come Saturday morning, brunch takes over breakfast by stealing the “break” and dropping the “fast.” There’s just something special about brunching. Is it the Mimosas, the gathering of friends on a late Sunday morning, a perfect brunch date, family fun or just the comfort of some delicious Baja Shrimp tacos…whatever it is, brunch life is the good life!
Cocktails:
One of the keys to drink pairings for a midmorning meal is to choose a cocktail that compliments the style of food being served. For example, a Margarita goes well with fajitas. So, if you’re looking to shake up your margarita routine doing brunch, remember two rules: Lime serves as the perfect foil to spicy dishes, and tequila augments smoky foods. A screwdriver or melon patch are wonderful matches for a fresh fruit brunch, while a Mimosa goes well with eggs benedict, and Bloody Mary’s works well with heartier foods. No matter what cocktail you choose, it will always be a favorite during Sunday Brunch. Cheers and Enjoy!
Gathering of Friends:
Would you rather prefer to eat your Sunday brunch alone or enjoy it with friends? Often times, it is more than just a meal, but a personal social connection. Many of our social connection nowadays are through social media, but we also need a one on one or a group setting where we can come together and socialize in person. Sitting down at a table or hanging out for brunch with friends has been shown to alleviate depression and increase happiness. So, go gather your friends and enjoy your Sunday Brunch.
Brunch Date:
Breakfast is too early in the morning to be sexy, and lunch is blander than the turkey sandwich restaurants serve on their midday menus. At the start of dating, everything is new. After a while you can fall into rigid routine. Bottom line, to keep a relationship fresh, you have to do new things. Why not try a Sunday Brunch date?
Family Fun:
Dining out with kids isn’t always a fun proposition, but brunch can be a great time to go to a restaurant with the whole family. Kids tend to be less cranky earlier in the day, and morning menus offerings suit even picky palates. Today, families spend many waking hours on the go, but meal time gives you a chance to slow down and be together. That togetherness is an effective way to bond with your kids, giving them a sense of unity and security. So, plan your next Sunday Brunch with your family and join us a Limon y Sal for a Sunday Brunch deliciousness.
Brunch is in some case, a celebratory meal, you can have fancy mimosa drinks, eat savory and sweet food…all just because you can. There’s no judgement in what sort of food you choose to eat, and no early waking either! With brunch you can indulge just a little bit more than usual. So, go ahead, add a little sophistication to your food! Limon y Sal in Downtown Ventura would love to see you all for a Sunday Brunch with your family and friends.
