Spending the day in Ventura is always enjoying. Journeying through Downtown Ventura, down to the beach, walking on the pier, and taking in all there pleasantries is a perfect activity for any day. Everyone knows exploring Ventura will work up an appetite. Instead of searching for a ‘restaurant near me’, just head straight to Limón y Sal.
A day in Ventura is perfect to walk by yourself or show out of town guests the beauty that is the city of Ventura. I prefer to start my day at the beach. Setting up my spot in the warm sand and relaxing in the sun’s rays. Hearing the distant dialog of seagull’s debates over some food or the occasional seal barking, a smile will appear on your face. If you keep a weather eye on the ocean you might even be privileged enough to watch a pod of dolphins swimming by or even spot a couple whales playing off shore. After cooling off in the clear, crystal blue water of the pacific you’ll be ready to put on your walking shoes.
Taking a stroll on the pier is a perfect place to put things into perspective. Looking back to where your spot on the beach was and over to the hills of Ventura. Observing the layout of Downtown Ventura will give you a sense of the community. Seeing the city nestled up to the hillside, you can’t help feel as if you’ve found a coastal oasis. After getting a close look at the flag at the end of the pier, I like to make my way back towards shore. My next destination is the promenade. Taking the stairs down from the pier you’ll find yourself on the boardwalk.
The this change of scenery allows you to take in the activities of the locals and tourists alike. walking up towards surfers point you’ll see families playing in the sand, people enjoying their bike rides, and surfers catching the long, rolling waves off the point. After walking the promenade I turn towards the hills of Ventura. Passing through the plaza next to the hotel I continue onto California street. Walking up the street you experience a great view of the historic city hall. With its pillars and white marble facade, you can’t miss it. Passing Main Street and up to City hall, you’ll find a great photo opportunity with a view to the ocean.
Once you take a few pictures, it’s time to continue down to Main Street. Walking up and down Main St. is perfect to do some shopping and exploring. From checking out the old Ventura mission to admiring the huge Morten Bay Fig trees. Around about this time is when I start to get hungry. Instead of wasting time trying to find a restaurant near me, the locals head straight over to Limón y Sal. The tase and quality of food will make your mouth water. Enjoying a nice cold beer or cocktail with your meal is highly recommended. Enjoy live music upstairs in their rooftop bar or a relaxing meal in the dining room. Limón y Sal is your one stop shop for a great time with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and enjoyable ambiance.
When you find your self hungry and thirsty in Downtown Ventura, looking for a ‘restaurant near me’, just go straight to Limón y Sal. Always a great time experiencing everything they have to offer, you’ll never want to go anywhere else.
